Experience the Classic Melbourne City Tour by Blue Tongue Bikes, available daily during the summer, spring, and autumn seasons at 10 am. During the winter months, we offer the tour exclusively on Fridays and Saturdays. As we prioritize a personalized experience, we keep our tour groups small, making bookings essential to secure your spot.

What is an E-Bike Tour? An E-Bike Tour is a guided biking experience using electric bicycles (E-Bikes). These bikes come with a motor that provides pedal-assistance, making it easier to cover longer distances and tackle hills without exerting excessive effort.

Do I need prior biking experience? Yes, how our tours are designed to accommodate riders of varying skill levels. The electric assistance will make the journey more manageable, even for those with limited biking experience.

What should I bring with me? Essentials include:

  • Comfortable clothing suitable for biking
  • Sunscreen and sunglasses, hat.
  • Water bottle to stay hydrated (can be purchased in shop) 
  • Camera or smartphone to capture memories
  • Rain jacket if the weather isn’t looking great. Ponchos can be purchased in shop. 

What’s included in the tour package? Our tour package typically includes:

  • E-Bike rental
  • Safety equipment (helmet)
  • Professional tour guide
  • Planned route with scenic spots and attractions

Can I bring my own bike? No for safety reasons you will need to ride one supplied by Blue Tongue Bikes.

Is there an age or weight limit for participants? Participants must be at least 12 years old (with parental consent if under 18). As for weight limits, our E-Bikes typically support riders up to 250 pounds (113 kilograms).

How long is the tour, and what’s the difficulty level? The tour runs for about 4 hours and covers 16km (10m). With the added E bike boost this will be no problem as long as you can ride a bike. 

Will there be breaks during the tour? Absolutely! We’ll plan regular breaks at scenic locations, historical sites, or local attractions, where you can rest, take photos, and enjoy the surroundings. We also have a lunch break about half way (food and drinks not included in price of the tour).

What happens if it rains? Tours will proceed rain or shine unless there are safety concerns. We’ll provide rain ponchos at cost if needed, but you’re welcome to bring your own rain gear for added comfort.
